Patreon bans Faith Goldy for “Hate Speech”

Patreon has decided to ban Canadian journalist Faith Goldy for violated their Community Guidelines and Hate Speech.

Patreon is used by independent  journalists and creators to raise funds for the work they do, the platform has thousands of creators including famous YouTubers like Philip DeFranco.

Goldy was banned for posting a video recently where it seems she was assaulted and spit on by Antifa members at the U.S./Canada border in Lacolle, Quebec.

Goldy announced the ban on Facebook.

Faith Goldy has thousands of supporters and followers on her Social Media channels.

Hate Speech is a sensitive subject that remains a mystery, Goldy and many other journalists have been banned from the platform but the debate will forever remain controversial, private companies are allowed to define their own version of Hate Speech, if they make a mistake it will most likely haunt them in the future.
