Toddler Alfie Evans dies after parents lose legal battle

Alfie Evans has died Saturday morning confirmed his parents on Facebook.

The baby was taken off life support ten hours before he died, he suffered from a terminal illness.

The parents said they were “absolutely heartbroken” and fought court until the end.

The British toddler made headlines around the world after his parents went through many legal battles trying to save his life.

The boy was born in May 2016 and was submitted to a hospital in Liverpool after suffering seizures and has been there since.

Parents Kate James, 20, and Tom Evans, 21, fought for their so in court to take him to a doctor in Italy but lost the case.

On Monday after losing the court case his Father said on Facebook, “Alfie I am so so sorry 😭😭😭😭”

The hospital withdrew Alfie’s life support Monday and said the treatment was “not in Alfie’s best interests.”

U.K. judge Anthony Hayden, said the ruling represented “the final chapter in the life of this extraordinary boy.”
