WhatsApp has recently redesigned its Settings menu for all the beta users. It has now different icons and a different layout. The app is has now the build number v2.19.45 for all the Android beta users. We must confess, it’s not the biggest update, and it doesn’t bring any new features. However, it will make it easier for you to go through the settings of the app, without having to dig deep into each of the sub-menus. The stable version of this update will bring this change to all of its users.
The changes were notices and then given to us by WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo. However, many people have checked for the new update on multiple smartphones that run WhatsApp beta for Android, but were not able to find it or any of the changes. Many reports also have screenshots of the changes, and this is how they were able to compare the current user interface with what they were supposed to get.
What was shown in the screenshots?
The screenshots show the relocation of some tools and brand new icons. But the most noticeable change stands in the options that are under some particular settings. There’s a new dedicated icon for every setting. Also, the icons for ‘Change number’, ‘Security’ and ‘Two-step verifications’ were also redesigned.
When it comes to the ‘Data and storage usage’ menu, we now get the amount of data that was sent and received below the ‘Network Usage’ text. The memory usage is now shown below ‘Storage’.
The payment feature from the main Settings page now shows a history of payments and details about the linked bank account.
Get the update if you want to enjoy all of the brand new icons and changes in the user interface.
