Jason Kenney wins UPC leadership race

After a very tense campaign race, the new leader for the United Conservative Party (UCP) is Jason Kenney.

Jason Kenney has 35,000 votes for the win at 61.1 percent of votes, Brian Jean had 31.5 and Schweitzer the remaining 7.3 percent.

Kenney campaigned against Brian Jean and Calgary lawyer Doug Schweitzer after forming the party from the former Wild Rose and Alberta PC party.

The competition was friendly, they all know end goal is to beat Rachel Notley in 2019.
