Smoking weed was legalized across Canada on October 17 following a long campaign promise by the Trudeau government.
Alberta legal weed store owners are running out of pot after just days of sales, and marijuana is harder to order they say, store owners can only order from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission and can only order enough to fill their approved holding spots.
Alberta currently has 31 stores where you can buy recreational marijuana, the highest of any other province in Canada.
Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis said it had over 8000 customers the first day alone and made nearly $730,000 in sales.
The Cannabis Act turned out to be a huge success for the Trudeau government but systems still need to be put in place to keep up with demand, there’s a supply shortage in Alberta and soon to be a supply shortage across Canada.
